Cruise is a one year old Persian mix. He is still a very playful kitten and would do best with younger, like minded cats. He is comfortable and curious about dogs. He hasn’t been around small children very much so is still a little unsure of them. Cruise has highly concentrated urine so requires a urinary specific diet.
Adoption fee: $150
Jagger is a five year old, male Boxer cross. He doesn’t make friends easily so needs slow introductions (this goes for dogs and humans). He does love kids however!! Jagger is now doing well with all the dogs we currently have at the rescue and has successfully met many new humans! Jagger does seem to have a soft spot for all children though. Once you get to know this guy you discover he is very loyal with a ton of personality. With continued socialization we anticipate his true personality will continue to emerge. Unfortunately he has also come into us with some health issues. Jagger has now been diagnosed with “water diabetes” and will require a daily pill to keep it under control. (in layman’s terms, his brain is telling him he is constantly thirsty so he drinks alot of water and urinates alot as a result). The medication is less than $25 per month. Once our vet has his condition under control he will be ready for adoption.
PGARS currently has 7 kittens available for adoption. 1 will be ready to go in two weeks, the other 6 will be ready in another month.
Adoption fees are $200 per kitten which includes spay/neuter, microchip, first set of vaccinations and deworming.
Jax is a five year old, male, Shih Tzu, Poodle cross. He came into PGARS a year ago and we found him a wonderful home but unfortunately he had to be returned due to aggression towards the adult male in the family. The family that had him loved him very much but after his owner came back from the hospital Jax became even more possessive of her. Jax has experienced alot of abuse in his past and can become very attached and very protective of certain people. This is Jax’s last chance at avoiding euthanasia. He must go to a home without children, men or other pets. (yes, he is currently living with us at the rescue that has all of these but obviously this is not an ideal long term situation for him) He is a sweet, loving, energetic boy but he needs help.
Adoption fee: “By donation”
**Jax comes with 3, 1 hour sessions of personal training with Kirby from Pawsitive Horizons!!!!
Torque is a 5 year old, male, Mastiff cross. He is a very happy boy that loves people! He is good with children and cats. Unfortunately Torque is not good with other dogs and must go to a single dog home. Torque has a ton of love to give and will be a great addition to a young family. He has a bit of a sensitive stomach but his previous owners found that Iams Large Breed dog food is what works best for him. He needs to work on his leash manners. He is crate trained. Torque will be available for adoption later this week.
Adoption fee $250
Polar (Bear) is a nine month old Great Pyrenees. He is very friendly but still a little shy with new people. He is good with most dogs, cats and livestock. Polar would do best on a large acreage where he can do his job as a guardian dog.
Adoption fee $300
Trinity is a young, female, DSH. She will be aged once she has weaned her kittens and goes to our vet to be spayed. She is too protective of her kittens to be able to tell if she is good with dogs or other cats yet. She is a confidant, friendly little lady.
Trinity is currently at PGARS (not Bosleys) and will be available for adoption next month. Her adoption fee will be $150
Arnold is a four month old, male, Husky, Shepherd cross. He is very friendly, enjoys the other dogs and is good with cats although they really don’t want much to do with him at this point. Arnold needs to go to a home that is totally prepared to take on the whole “puppy thing” for the next several months!! He is a typical puppy. He chews things, he cries in his crate at night, he is not house trained yet and has alot of work to do on his manners. Arnold to be with an active family that can take him on daily outings as he is going to continue to be a high energy, athletic dog.
Adoption fee: $300
Mae is a 7 month old, female, Lab/Pitty mix. She is a sweet, cuddly pup. She loves her toys, loves to wrestle with the other dogs and really enjoys people. Mae is good with cats too! She was recently spayed and is a happy, healthy girl. Mae can be quite vocal (barky) and we are working with her on that.
Adoption fee: $300
Cash is a 10 month old, neutered, male Great Pyrenees. Cash gets along with most other dogs but was returned to PGARS for fighting with one of the other male dogs in the household. Cash was hit by a vehicle almost three months ago now and one of his back legs was broken as a result. He has since healed up but will always have a slight limp.
Adoption fee: $300
Magnolia is currently nursing 6, 4 week old kittens. She is a very calm, easy going mamma that enjoys attention. Magnolia will be available for adoption at the end of May once she has weaned her kittens and has been spayed.
